Performances
Performances and concerts are an important part of the music program. It is a chance to show others what skills we have been learning. Music should be shared and enjoyed by both producer and listener. Each performance provides a clear goal in the creative process. Though not all of the music we create is meant for a performance setting, each song and activity is a stepping stone in the development of our musical aptitude.

Concert Dress and Etiquette
Children should be dressed in their “concert best.” That means boys should wear dress pants
and a nice shirt or sweater and girls should wear a dress, skirt and blouse or
dress pants and a nice shirt. I am
asking that your child not wear t-shirts with writing on them or worn
jeans. Becoming a performer
requires the proper dress as well as the behavior.
All performers are expected to sit in their assigned seats for the entire concert. Each student will be both performer and audience and should give all performers their attention and respect. If you need to leave early for any reason please let the teacher and myself know.
